[S567] King Cemetery (Liberty Twp., Phelps County, Missouri; LAT/LON N37.812007°, W-91.858304°; To get to King Cemetery, take Rt. 63 south from Rolla to Vida area; turn west on County Road 7240 (aka Vessie Rd.) Take this road all the way until you get to a T in the road (approx. 3.5 miles). Turn left (still Vessie Road/CR7240) and drive approx. 1/2 mile until you get to the crossing of Little Piney creek, cross the creek, turn a corner, and Claudie Mathis farm is the first gate on the left. You will need to contact Claudie Mathis at --- to get into the gate. Once in, go 1/2 mile to her farm (she'll probably meet you) then keep following the gravel road for another 1/2 mile until it runs out into a clearing. The King Cemetery is just south of the clearing. It should be fenced in, it was cleaned out by Kevin Karnes in 2018. New military gravestones were installed in 2018. Stones for Judge Wright and his two youngest sons who were murdered will be installed the Fall of 2018.
