    • Mrs. M.J. Harrison Dies at Anutt, Mo.

      Margaret J. Kitechen was born Jan. 22, 1838, near the present site of Edgar Springs, Mo., and died Jan. 9, 1932, at Anutt, Mo., being at the time of her death almost 94 years old. On Jan. 7, 1858, she was married to William Mace.

      To this union were born seven children, all of whom survive. They are: Elizabeth Baker, Yancy Mills, Mo.; George Mace, Craddock, Mo.; Mary Fore, Salem, Mo.; Martha Campbell, Anutt, Mo.; Henry Mace, Edgar Springs, Mo.; Cythia [sic, should be Cynthia] Heavin, Anutt, Mo.; and Joseph E. Mace, Anutt, Mo. Mrs. Harrison leaves thirty-seven grandchildren, ninety great grand children, and ten great great grandchildren, a total of 137 grandchildren.

      William Mace died on July 20, 1881. The deceased then united in marriage with Samuel A. Harrison Nov. 18, 1885. Mrs. Harrison leaves five step-children. They are: J.F. Harrison, Chickasha, Okla.; Mrs. J.W. Heavin, Columbus, Kan.; Mrs. Herbert I. Smith, St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. C.L. Mathis, Flat, Mo.; and Mrs. R.S. Null, Rolla, Mo. One step-daughter, Mrs. W.S. Quick of Hazleton, Mo.; preceded Mrs. Harrison in death two weeks ago. Twenty-three step-grandchildren and eighteen step-great grandchildren also survive.

      Mrs. Harrison united with the Church of Christ forty-two years ago, and has lived a constant Christian life. She has been a loving mother to her children and step-children, and has endeared herself to everyone with whom she has come in contact. "Aunt" Margaret, as she was lovingly called, was the last member of the old Kitchen family.

      Funeral services were conducted at the Church of Christ in Anutt, Mo., Monday afternoon, Jan. 11, by the Rev. Mr. McDonald, of Salem, Mo., after which interment was made in the Anutt cemetery. The pall bearers were her three sons, J. E. Mace, George Mace, Henry Mace, and her three sons-in-law, W.H. Heavin, Jas. Fore, and R.S. Null.
