      In the "History of Chester County, Pennsylvania: with genealogical and biographical sketches", p. 23:

      "The Ship called the "Bristol Comfort" from Old England, John Read Master, arrived here in Delawre River the 28th of the 7th month, 1683, & in the same came Alexander Beardsley & Margaret his wife & his daughter Mary : the said Alexander is a Glover & he came from Worcester.
      "Tho: Bowater out of Worstershire, servant to ffrancis ffincher out of Woster City, Glover, for three years: they came in the ship aforesaid."

      NOTE: this was in the list of arrivals to Chester County PA between 1682 and 1688; the original list of arrivals is in possession of the Pennsylvania Historical Society.

      He was received in Philadelphia and later moved to Chester.
