    • 25 acres. ALLEMANGEL: Lutherans from mid-1740s in Albany Township near Berks-Northhampton (now Lehigh) County line. In 1746 Rev. H. M. Muhlenberg, pastor at New Hanover, arranged for 50 acres to be used by the Allemangel Lutherans to build a church. The earliest surviving record book was begun in 1768 by Rev.     Biography
    • Hans Michael was born on June 11, 1707 in Oeschingen, Germany. A small town south of the present day city of Stuttgart in Wuertemberg, Germany. They first traveled to Rotterdam, Holland where they booked passage on the ship “Nancy” which was captained by Thomas Coatam also of Rotterdam. They arrived in Philadelphia on September 16, 1751. The family first settled in Northampton County, Pennsylvania where Hans Michael had twenty five acres of land surveyed on July 27, 1752. They lived there and supported the colonies as opposed to the English. They then moved to Lincolnton, North Carolina. This area was known as Tyron, but now it is known as Lincoln County.
