    • During the Civil War, Isaac was a strong Southern sympathizer and wanted to join the Rebel cause. But because he was 75 years old in 1861, the army would not accept him. So instead, he help set up tents, fed, and cared for the soldiers. Isaac died while caring for the soldiers in Arkansas. The date, place, and burial is unknown.

      Before the Civil War started his wife, Agnes, died and Isaac married Nancy Messer (William Arthur's daughter) in April 1857, Crawford County. IN the Dent County Probate Court Records dated 27 August 1866, page 102, Nancy Wright was appointed as administrator of the estate of Isaac Wright, deceased.
