    • Obituary of Leonard S. Kult

      Leonard Stanley Kult, 78, of Belleville, Ill., born June 15, 1927, in Radom, Ill., died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006, at John Cochran VA Medical Center, St. Louis, Mo.
      Mr. Kult served in the Navy in World War II and the Army in Korea. He was a member of the VFW Post 8677 and he enjoyed playing cards and spending time with friends and family.
      He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann E., nee Bailey, Kult; his parents, Joseph and Clara, nee Deering, Kult; and two sisters, Rose Marie Minton and Joan Niedzwiecki.
      Surviving are his children, Larry Kult of Fairview Heights, Ill., Daniel Kult of East Peoria, Ill., Linda Coyne of O'Fallon, Ill., Rebecca (Chuck) Dengler of Shiloh, Ill., and Ruth Kult of Fairview Heights, Ill.; two grandsons, Michael Johnson and Jackson Dengler; a granddaughter, Haley Kult; five brothers, Eugene M. (Janet) Kult of Belleville, Ill., Jerome (Kristen) Kult of Fullerton, Calif., Raymond E. Kult of Nashville, Ill., Robert J. (Judy) Kult of Granite City, Ill., and Leroy (Dotti) Kult of Livington, Ky.; and three sisters, Caroline Jarrell of O'Fallon, Ill., Patricia Hellon of Troy, Ill., and Shirley (Mark) Holmes of Glen Carbon, Ill.
      Memorials may be made to the Gateway Chapter of Paralyzed Veterans of America, 9040 Lackland Rd., St. Louis, Mo, 63114 or to VFW Post 8677, Fairview Heights, Ill.

      Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday,. Feb. 23, 2006, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Ill., and a VFW Honor Guard 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

      Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2006, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Ill., with the Rev. Ray Schultz officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
