    • MRS. EVA KUHARSKI [sic]

      Mrs. Eva Kuharski [sic], nee Kobus, died Monday, March 21, at her home near Beaucoup, after a short illness, aged 71 years. Deceased was born in February, 1848 in Posen and came to America as a child of three years, settling in this county. She was married to Leonard Kult and to this union were born four sons, Joe, John, William and Leornard, and two daughters, Mary and Eva (Mrs. Crabel). The husband passed away. Later she was married to Michael Kuharski [sic] of this county. Two sons and a daughter were born to this union, Henry and Aug. Kuharski [sic] and Mrs. John Sczebelski, all of whom mourn the loss of the mother. The departed is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one brother, Jacob of Nashville; three sisters, Mrs. Vincent Letza, Mrs. Hy Koehler and Mrs. Frank Povalish, and many other relatives and friends. Those who attended the funeral were: Mrs. Vencent Letza, mrs. H. Koehler, Mrs. Frank Povalish, Miss Anna Povalish, Mrs. N. Belinski, Mrs. John Belinski, Jacob Kobus and daughters, Miss Eva and Rosa Kobus, all of here.

Staller, "welcher im Jahre 1856 als er rekrutierungspflichtig, ungehorsam und widerspenstig abwesend war", sein Vermögen wurde am 31.01.1859 mit Beschlag belegt. Leonhard Kuolt ist um 1856 [sic] nach Nordamerika ausgewandert und heiratete am 28.01.1867 in Ashland, Grafschaft Schuylkill, Eva Kobus. Aus dieser Ehe gingen 6 Kinder hervor. Leonhard Kuolt verstarb am 27.03.1883 zu Warren, County Lee, Staat Iowa. Die Kinder sind: Mary * 13.03.1868, Joseph * 15.01.1870, Johann * 22.10.1871, Wilhelm * 22.10.1874, Leonhard * 07.07.1878, Eva * 01.04.1881. Die Witwe Eva Kuolt geb. Kobus heiratete am 18.08.1884 in Illinois Michael Kucharski.

      34. Kuolt Leonhard. [born] 23.04.1842 [emigrated] around 1856 [sic] son of Ignaz Kuolt and Genovefa nee Staller, "who was widely absent and disobedient when recruited in 1856", but to his fortune was hired in a company which manufactured metal fittings on 31.01.1859. Leonhard Kuolt emigrated to North America in 1856 [sic] and married Eva Kobus on 28 Jan 1867 in Ashland, Schuylkill County, [Pennsylvania]. From this marriage, six children followed. Leonhard Kuolt died on 27 Mar 1883 in Warren, Lee County, Iowa. Their children are: Mary, [b.] 13 Mar 1868; Joseph, [b.] 15 Jan 1870; John, [b.] 22 Oct 1871; William [b.] 22 Oct 1874; Leonard [b.] 7 Jul 1878; and Eva [b.] 1 Apr 1881. The Widow Eva Kuolt, nee Kobus, married Michael Kucharski on 18 Aug 1884 in Illinois.
