John Brammer Sr.'s will is missing from the Patrick County Courthouse (since it was once there, it is now presumed stolen.) There is a faint copy of the will in the Brammer's Branches newsletter, which I've duplicated here with the transcription:

In the name of God Amen. I John Brammer
Senr of the County of Patrick do make & Order
this my Last Will & Testament In manner & form
following Viz In the first place I Commit my
Sole Into the hands of Almighty God that Gave
It & my Body to the Earth to be Buried in a Ch
ristian Like manner & as for what Worldly Estate that
Pleased Amighty God to bless me In this Life
with I do Dispose of In manner & form following
Viz It Is my Desire that all my Just Debts to be paid
Item It is my Desire that my Land be Sold for
the Best price can be Got & the money Divided
among my Sons & Daughters that Is to Say my
Daughter Mary Manning, my sons Birges Edward &
my Daughter Sarah Manning & Frankey John Br
ammer Junr I Give & Bequeath unto him One Dollar
Item I Giv unto my Daughter Mary Manning
